The Strategy accelerator
In September 2009 the second book of Alfred Griffioen was published in the Netherlands, with the title "De strategieversnelling", or "The Strategy accelerator".

Many managers still use the classical strategy models like those of Porter (1980), Treacy&Wiersema (1995) and the Boston Consulting Group (1959). But we're in the 21st century now, with internet and changing flows of capital. 'Normal' differentiation is not enough anymore, you really have to offer something unique or make relevant combinations for your customers. The concept of the Strategy Accelerator offers a contemporary alternative. In three steps:

1. Look what your current competitive advantage is: do you have a unique product, and are you really relevant to your customers? You can have both, or neither.

2. Choose with the Strategy Accelerator your optimal strategy: ally, combine, excel or consolidate.

3. Sharpen your business model with the chosen strategy and find the right partners

On this website you'll find a concluding mini-publication, an extensive scientific article and a presentation with the highlights of the concept.
